Dr Louise Brennan, Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Louise Brennan, MB, BAO, BCh, MRCPI, MICGP, MRCPsych.
Dr Brennan is a Consultant Psychiatrist with specialist training in liaison psychiatry. She studied medicine in UCD and went on to train in internal medicine and general practice. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland and the Irish College of General Practitioners.
After finishing basic specialist training in psychiatry, she spent additional time in forensic psychiatry services. Louise then moved to London to work in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, the Maudsley Hospital and the Bethlem Royal Hospital, with adults with complex needs and presentations of neurodevelopmental disorders. Louise went on to complete higher specialist training, including further training in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum disorder and Gender Identity Disorders.
She is currently completing her Medical Doctorate qualification, examining aspects of sexual development in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Louise also works as a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry and Liaison Psychiatry.
